The final pages give our hapless protagonists a new direction to travel in, and as I said above, it's impossible not to find yourself completely drawn into this violent, murky and darkly comic fairytale reimagining. A number of new characters come into play and a fair amount of lore and backstory is dumped quickly. This makes Briar #2 a bit more cumbersome compared to the inaugural chapter, but this is to be expected to some degree given that this series is still in its early stages. Read Full Review
The art and character development are bringing me back to this title. I'd probably drop it if it were ongoing, but a 4-part series feels like the the right amount of investment to continue reading, so I'm going to see this through.
