Truly felt like a superhero story till the very end, this is what happens when you bring a franchise to a medium where the sky is the limit. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #16 brought this first story arc to a satisfying conclusion. We went to new places, the Rangers pulled off some impossible feats, and they proved what it means to be a Power Ranger with or without their powers. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #16 does a brilliant job of bringing a temporary conclusion to the Lord Drakkon problem, whilst leaving the door open for a return to the character. Following months of setup, Kyle Higgins and Hendry Prasetya at last bring their Lord Drakkon arc to its dramatic conclusion. The many swirling plot points of the issue threaten to overwhelm at times, but Higgins keeps things intact with a strong and well developed focus on character. Prasetya helps drive the many standout moments home with his great eye for detail and an improved attention to facial nuance. The team managed to deliver an arc that shows the Rangers at their lowest while also shining a light on their best traits. In doing so they also managed to create a delightful new antagonist for the franchise that should provide plenty of entertainment for years to come. Read Full Review
