Bane: Conquest #2

Jun 7, 2017

This is just a fine issue. I enjoyed it and I know other readers will as well. This book so far feels like a stir you would hear around a campfire which isn't a bad thing at all. Bane: Conquest is on a great journey so far and I can't wait to see where it goes.

Dark Nights: Metal #2

Sep 13, 2017

Dark Knights Metal #2 is more exciting than the first with action and groundbreaking story and dialog on every page. The art and overall looks to the characters, scenery and cameos were all a joy and fit perfectly. I enjoyed these books so far but I feel these first two could have been cut and put together as one issue.

Deadman (2017) #1

Nov 15, 2017

All the ingredients to a great story with amazing characters are all here in Deadman issue 1, but unfortunately the execution was a monstrous disaster and disappointment. The art was amazing and a joy to stare at but it wasn't enough to make up for the what was written.

Detective Comics (2016) #966

Oct 11, 2017

This is by far the best Tim Drake story in recent history. Every moment keeps your eyes glued to the page as it shows off it's stunning art and amazing story. Although it drags in some places by stretching out the details of the origin of the future Tim Drake, it's still very much an exciting and must-read issue for every fan of Tim Drake.

Injustice 2 #11

Oct 4, 2017

Injustice 2 #11 has everything you need in a great comic: excellent story, action, and heart. The story continues the search for the heroes' children and the rescue mission of the Reanimated Alfred from Damian. If that isn't enough to pull someone into this issue then I don't know what else can. This direction with Injustice 2 is so excellent that the Injustice 2 video game isn't even in the same ballpark.

Justice League / Power Rangers #6

Sep 27, 2017

As much as I ripped on this book, the entire series is really fun. Both series are aimed more for an adult audience (these days anyways) and are taken very seriously so when I read this for the first time it just felt like any other book you find in your library. That being said this series is still entertaining but if you're a fan of both series you might come away disappointed at what could have been.

Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (2016) #21

Nov 22, 2017

Kyle Higgins treats Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with such delecacy and outstanding storytelling that it's impossible for any fan not to enjoy.
