Adventurer, archaeologist, socialite, survivor…legend. Lara Croft's life is anything but boring! She’s survived a shipwreck, betrayal, ancient traps, prophecies, and paparazzi.
When Croft Manor goes up in flames, it forces Lara to take stock of her life and figure out what was important to her. But a confrontation with a mysterious foe who has gotten their hands on a dangerous and familiar artifact provides some clarity as it launches Lara on a cross-continental journey doing what she does best…raiding tombs and questing for legendary relics.

I'm not sure how you screw up Tomb Raider. One of the easiest characters in the world to write. Yet Casey found a way. Don't underestimate hack writers. This book has all of about 4 pages in a tomb where she confronts a ninja. The rest of it is all talkity talk talk since Lara has an interview with a reporter. No joke. Well it is a joke and that's the sad part. I know I read a tomb raider comic to read an interview with Lara Croft rather than seeing her beat traps and puzzles. Amazing the brains involved here, including the editor that apparently gave this a thumbs up along with the liscensor. Knuckleheads -- all of 'em. Consider this a drop for me. Good luck making back your licensing deposit Dark Horse.

Barley anything happens in this issue. There's hardly a hook for the villain and makes them seem as if they aren't much of a threat. The new story seems like the comic is out for hype for the new game coming out, which it is. Hoping the next issue improves.
