Batman: Gotham by Gaslight - The Kryptonian Age #4 marks the completion of the first quarter of the story, giving a taste of familiar character arcs while seamlessly introducing the Superman elements to the story. Overall, Batman: Gotham by Gaslight – The Kryptonian Age #4 is a well-written and visually stunning comic book. Batman: Gotham By Gaslight - The Kryptonian Age #4 gives Elseworlds fans plenty of cool developments to chew on with the introduction of Superman's supporting cast of characters and the first Green Lantern. this is a nice reinterpretation of the Justice League in a steampunk era
I really like the world and characters but this series really struggles with pacing. There's so much going on without much progression that it makes it hard to get fully invested in the story.
This really isn't a Batman book. Nor is it really a Gotham book. Diggle has jumped it off the rails to include the artic and other areas. They should have named this book differently as he didn't hold to the concept of the original. It's throwing me to be honest. Wonder Woman is with Adam strange in the artic and now Allan Scott has a Green Lantern ring that only works three times. Catwoman has not been seen again and Batman is barely seen in this issue. I'd like Diggle to get back on track in the next issue.
