Darwyn Cooke's interpretation of these characters is brilliant and completely on point. The way he captures the naivety of Hollis Mason, the conservatism of Dollar Bill and the virtuousness of Silhouette is just beautiful. Pair that with his absolutely stunning pencils and Phil Noto's perfect colors and we have a perfect comic book. I am absolutely loving this series and I feel it is one of the few BEFORE WATCHMEN titles that does a great service to the original stories. Read Full Review

The minor hiccups aside, Before Watchmen: Minutemen #3 is the real deal, a well-crafted narrative that manages to work within the air-tight confines of Alan Moore's original work. Great artwork, visceral characterization and a nice dose of stakes keeps this book hopping way more than you would ordinarily expect. Read Full Review

A Comic Book Blog - Geoff Arbuckle Aug 29, 2012

While this book's overall feeling is much more straight forward than the others, Cooke's telling this story in much better than a lot of these stories. Like the Silk Spectre series, this book really has a great big heart underneath all we're seeing and it makes for a nice read that is as fun at times as it can be heartbreaking. Read Full Review

Minutemen remains one of the stronger Before Watchmen books. It looks great, and it's doing a better job of realizing its potential and expanding upon these characters in tangible ways. Read Full Review
