INTRODUCING A BRAND-NEW TEAM OF VILLAINS! A midnight heist. A staged crime scene. And an all-new (or is it all-old?) villain team emerging with its sights set directly on the Birds of Prey. Old grudges, new fascinations, where will it all lead...and which Bird will be taken first?

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield Apr 2, 2025

The Black Canary subplot is brief, but drops some really interesting hints. And the Barda story is alternatively hilarious and action-packed as she infiltrates the skyscraper and meets a mysterious figure one that, if I'm right, is the debut of a fan-favorite animated villain. And then things take a very serious turn, one that ups the stakes of this arc in a huge way with a shocking final page. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Apr 6, 2025

The opening frame of a whole new story even manages to end on a cliffhanger. Everyone is quite distinct and distinctly interesting in an issue that sows substantial emotional evolution for nearly everyone involved. Once again, Thompson is clearly doing very, very clever work with a smartly-assembled team of superheroes that are firmly grounded in the larger universe that they inhabit. Batman-News - Jeremy Bernard Apr 2, 2025

I feel spoiled by comics when I write this review. As though I'm complaining that everything is good. When in reality there's lots of comics with much worse to show for themselves. That being said there are a plethora of examples that are incredible! Comics with character and a vibrancy to their art that makes it alive and endlessly observable! We had that in the very beginning of Birds of Prey and I'll never forget that it's possible. So you'll have to excuse my spoiled attitude I guess even though I did enjoy this issue. Read Full Review
