Constantine still manages to retain its individual identity as a series with this, part x of the Blight crossover (I've lost count, give me a break), and turns out yet another story that gets right to the heart of the title character and gives us some superb artwork to look at in the meantime too. I was planning on dropping Constantine not long before this crossover started, but if it manages to stay this good once we come out of the other side, it won't be going anywhere. Read Full Review

As with the previous tie-ins to Blight, Aco illustrates this issue. In some ways, Aco's style is very reminiscent of Mikel Janin's on Justice League Dark. The thick blacks and twisted designs paint this as very much a supernatural book in addition to a superhero one. But the line-work lacks some of Janin's careful confidence, and the facial expressions can be wonky at times. Luckily, Brad Anderson's colors do a fine job of capturing all the mystical energies and hallucinations being tossed about. Read Full Review

I like seeing the arrogance of Constantine again now that he's done with Blight, and back in his element.  He proves that he's the baddest (80's bad) mage around, and is back to selling out his team if it get's him what he wants.  We're moving right along with this story, and getting closer to the Crime Syndicate in the process  I can't wait to see where it all ends up.  Check it out. Constantine #11 is a terrible issue. It's a prime example of decompressed storytelling at its worst, grasping at straws to help extend the "Blight" crossover, and it highlights the problems with what's happened to Constantine himself lately. Constantine works as a member of the Justice League Dark under a good writer (and the series has a VERY good writer right now), but his own book should be focusing on his solo adventure to recapture the essence of the character that's missing when he's forced to play along with others in a larger universe. The early issues of this series got it somewhat right before being dragged into this crossover. This is an issue that readers can skip, so it's best to save $2.99 USD and hope that the upcoming issue of Pandora is where Fawkes is channeling all of his talent and energy. Read Full Review
