This is one frustrating comic. Panels of awesomeness.
Tonal shifts that make it fall apart at times. While entertaining, the stuff with Warlord’s bridge just doesn’t fit into the story being told. Some awesome ideas like eclipso trying to fill the darkseid void, foxy the infant cosmos, flash splitting himself with both not being enough.
It's a mess.
Once again, this never-ending mish-mash of cosmic sci-fi nonsense barely has any coherence to it. Things happened and I don’t understand why, despite all of the nonsensical exposition. I just want it to end. There is at least the new Absolute Flash book that just launched with a much better version of Wally, which I’m going to follow each month in place of this nonsense. This is the last physical issue I’m buying of this version. It will likely be cancelled soon, at which point I expect to return for a new volume. I’ve bought every issue of this title’s various volumes for the last 45 years, but it ends here for me. I’ll follow it on the DCU app if I get bored.
