Love is in the air-or maybe that's just cologne? Vartox's dreams of making Power Girl his bride may be coming true...but nothing ever goes smoothly with Harley around! Or, for that matter, with the threat of a galaxy-crushing dictator hanging over their heads!
The wacky, lighthearted approach to Harley Quinn & Power Girl stands out all the more now that the main series is venturing into darker territory. The book is a lot of fun, but also takes the time to explore its three leads in a bit more depth. That said, the plot is a little too thin at this point, and the art quality isn't quite up to par with earlier issues. Read Full Review
This is thoroughly enjoyable issue with none of the grittiness or darkness that seem to have infiltrated almost every other title running. Read Full Review
Although issue no. 4 feels like a bit of a stepping stone between beats, this addition to the team-up mini is nonetheless entertaining as all-get-out. Most importantly, it brings Harley and Peej face-to-face with their real nemesis: Oreth Odeox. The coming and going of Vartox's ex-loves feels a little random, but might be setting up for more payoff as we head toward the finale of this super-silly-side-series. Read Full Review
I gave the last issue of this book a very high rating so I'm going to climb down off of that this time. Maybe I'm overcompensating. I don't mean that this has dropped in quality but the last issue was special to me. Many people I know that are also reading this title prefer this issue over last but they aren't the ones giving out Batarangs. If you are enjoying this series you will be pleased with this issue as the story passes its halfway point and looks to finish strong. Read Full Review
"Harley Quinn and Power Girl" #4 is another fun romp and I appreciate how the book is moving at a nice clip, even as it jumps from one silly moment to the next. I never felt bored, and that's a danger a lot of humor-based comics are unable to avoid. Once again, a big thumbs up. It's just plain old goofy fun. Read Full Review
When I expose myself inpublic, I get arrested, meanwhile Vartox of Valeron can whip his junk out andit causes world peace. Is that justice? This meandering story of littleconsequence has its cute moments, but not enough to justify the time spentreading the majority of fluff. No complaints about the art or colors, but theydon't supersede the pointlessness of the story. Wait for the trade or avoidentirely is my advice. Read Full Review
