When last we checked in with Harley Quinn, she ate, she banged, and she killed-but now it's time for something a little different. Fresh out of the events of Harley Quinn: The Animated Series season 3, Harley has found herself a part of a highly unlikely team-the Bat-Family! Meanwhile, Poison Ivy has found herself prepping for her new job-leader of the Legion of Doom! The surprising end of the issue brings in a fairly modern character from Batman comics as a new wrinkle between the two of them, and overall this comic is a strong start. But you really need to be in sync with these versions of the characters to vibe with this comic, and it's just a little too much in some places. Read Full Review
Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: Legion of Bats! #1 starts the series off by recapping and revisiting the show's last season. It gives the reader a glimpse of the new status quo, and sets up the new plot lines for the comic. Unfortunately, some of those plot lines are a little too similar to what has just been covered by the TV show. Fans of the show and of its previous tie-in comics will still find plenty to like, especially if they're supporters of romantic Harley/Ivy moments, so long as they don't expect anything too radical.
