Alice Ever After #1 gives us a good look at who Alice is and how her world functions. The story's enchanting and draws you in with the artwork. Dan Panosian has created something very special here, and I'm already lamenting the fact that there are only 5 issues in this series. |

Alice Ever After #3 is the halfway point for this five issue set, but it opens doorways to knowledge and questions that are enticing and siren in origin. You genuinely want to just continue examining the beautiful covers by Dan Panosian and variant done by Dave Johnson. I am saddened because I know there is only two issues left but at this point my heels are dug in and I am ready to read what remains for our Alice. |

Archie Meets Batman '66 #1
Aug 2, 2018 |
With writing by Jeff Parker and Michael Moreci, they are guiding the two series true to both of their forms. The passion of the art team is nothing to sneer at either, Dan Parent is long time artist for Archie and marries that beautifully with the style of Batman 66'. His art paired with J. Bone on inks and Kelly Fitzpatrick on colors, each bringing their own magic to the story, makes me ready for chapter 2! |

Archie Meets Batman '66 #3
Oct 1, 2018 |
This issue marries nostalgia art and episodes feel of the TV episodes beautifully. I go back to being a kid and watching Batman with Adam West and Burt Ward. The writing is absolutely on point for both series as Archie feels just right as well. The art is beautiful and I would swear I wasn't reading a book but watching an episode, waiting so patiently to see what will happen next.Between the writing team and the artists this issue perfectly follows on from the previous two for me and is a joy to read. Dan Parent's art is highly detailed and when paired with inks and colors the meticulous details truly shine. |

This introduction to Batman: The Detective was really a nice opener. I love the plot and how it flows smoothly into different scenarios. I loved seeing Knight and Squire again, as well as seeing Bruce pay homage to BOTH his Fathers. This is a heady mix of emotion and perseverance that I look forward to seeing how it all plays out for the World's Greatest Detective. Of course, I want to know who is behind it all as well, but isn't that the fun part of a story? To watch everything add up? |

Future State (2021): Harley Quinn #1
Jan 8, 2021 |
My expectations for what was coming have been shaken to their foundations. Crane and Quinn's rivalry is beautifully played out, and the banter between them was hilarious. I like that you get to see Harley getting under Jonathan's skin. The only thing that rubbed me wrong was that in this version of the Harley's world we still have the age old stereotype of Harley being "Joker's Girl". We've been far past that for years, even before the Joker War/Punchline story line, but then again, this is a completely different arc and story so maybe that can be forgiven. The story isn't affected, but as it's brought up several times throughout this issue, it was harder to ignore. That said I truly look forward to what comes next, and am on the edge of my seat to see how the rest of this tale plays out. |

For me, this story was amazing, not only with all the different artists that contributed to the book as the story progressed, but the writing by Sam Humphries is completely on point. It feels like an amazing adventure to go on with Harleen. Everything works together in such beautiful harmony and I am so excited to continue with this series going forward. With just these two issues alone they have a fan for life. This issue has earned itself a fully deserved 10/10 |

Harley Quinn has honestly never disappointed me, and this issue is no different. The plot is great, the moments where the reader needs to feel something are placed correctly and the art is stunning. The cliff hanger is quite poignant and I am so excited for what comes next. This issue gets an easy ten from me, I am waiting patiently (not) to see what comes next. |

I feel like I dote on this series so much but to be fair it has been able to draw me in like few have. Each book is seriously a joy to read. If one character has been getting the justice due her this year, it's Harley. From the covers, to the side stories, she has had a year to beat all and I have no complaints. 10 out of 10 fully and easily earned. I am so excited for the Christmas issue!Images courtesy of DC Entertainment |

This one is the easiest ten out of ten I have possibly given. It earns all of it and begs for brownie points. The growth they consistently show you with Harley Quinn and the breath taking beauty in the artwork this issue, coupled with the variant make it a must have. We get what looks like a break next issue but with the hint of what is coming next for Harley, pins and needles for the next tale is hardly correct wording. |

Harley Quinn #66 closes one door and opens the big one, that draws us into the “Year of the Villain” theme currently running through the DC Universe. It's been mentioned in previous Harley Quinn issues, but the next one boasts to close it all. I really loved what they did here and what storylines they are establishing for future books. Yes, indeed… this chapter deserves a hearty: |

Harley Quinn #69 is a light-hearted, on the go, bit of fun. It was well-done and thoroughly enjoyable break from the norm. Lots of fluff with tender moments sprinkled in fits into Harley Quinn's world nicely. I loved all the nice touches, like the chibi versions of the characters on their individual narrations. Personally, I think this is one of the best side stories ever to venture into the nonsensical made reality. You can get your copy here or at your local comic shop. |

Harley Quinn: The Animated Series (2021): Legion of Bats! #2
Nov 18, 2022 |
For a comic series that takes its lead from an established story line with predisposed personalities, I am beyond impressed. It's witty, charming, and holds some of the soul that makes the animated series so enjoyable. All of that, plus all the little details, make such a big impact. I wholly recommend this series as a pickup just for the sheer enjoyment it brings. |

Harley Quinn: The Animated Series (2021): Legion of Bats! #4
Jan 20, 2023 |
With so many plots unfolding I'm excited to see where the events of Harley Quinn: The Animated Series Legion of Bats #4 will lead us. I'm certainly excited to see what awaits Harley and Ivy as they both try to figure out where they stand, both as individuals and together as a couple. Also just what is Lady Marabunta up to? It seems like she's much more than meets the eye. I guess we will all see in the next issue. |

Home (2021) #1
Apr 29, 2021 |
Home is surely a series to keep an eye on as the voices within deserve to be heard. What awaits Juan now that his powers are free remains to be seen. There are many questions that we have, and more issues ahead that I believe will provide those answers. But as a starter to the series, Home #1 is a great and powerful debut. It is hard hitting and touches on several difficult to swallow truths. It is a here-and-now story that should absolutely be read by everyone. I look forward to the following issues as we see just what the next steps are, not only for Mercedes, but for Juan as well. |

Ice Cream Man #1
Jan 19, 2021 |
The Ice Cream Man series is one of those masterpieces that comes along once in a while and you just want to join the ride. If you are a fan of horror, for this instance in comics, then this is a high recommendation. You want to know more about “Rick” and just what he is and what he wants in this town the more the story goes on. The creative team does a stellar job of getting and holding your attention. Above all, I am so glad I came in after trades were available because my patience would not have lasted waiting for each delicious bite. In conclusion, read this comic. |

If issue #1 grabbed our attention, then issue #2 certainly holds it tightly. This story doesn't deviate into different stories, rather it holds one throughout. Watching Karen and Jim go from a love struck couple to only the high mattering is heavy. The team leaves nothing on the cutting room floor. It serves to make this read all the more gripping. |

In closing, the creative team blows away all expectations for what this series is. Ice Cream Man #3 is such a delightful, reality-breaking issue. So for the full story arc it really did mirror the game very well when it came to the Injustice characters and while throwing The Masters of the Universe in for the story made me pause it works very well. They were able to make the storyline not only work but left the ending with a bow as well as an opening that leaves us with the possibility of future stories to be told in all manner of universes. This series was a joy and while I am sad to see it end, I enjoyed every minute of it. |

I'm reserving a lot of judgement because I know there's more to come. Being honest though, of the series as a whole, this chapter isn't a top favorite. It does move the story forward, and there's Dinah, but something feels off, particularly given how much work's gone into the build up of this story, and its characters. There have been very elaborate crimes committed and while, yes, what happens this issue is horrible" it seems disjointed. |

Joker: Killer Smile: The Smile Killer #1
Jun 26, 2020 |
The story of Batman: The Smile Killer has only drawn me in more. One of my favorite scenes was where Martha Wayne was trying to make Bruce remember what really happened to his Dad Thomas, the night he died. There are moments in this comic where you're even unsure of the Dark Knight himself, and you begin to sway, just like he does, on just what's real and what isn't. This is a testament to just how well the lead-up and the execution has been for this book. |

I would have picked this book up anyway due to the main character being my favorite. I love to read anything that she features in. But the pacing is off slightly for me and there are a few moments that feel forced instead of a fluid transition. But these do not affect the overall, and are honestly just me being slightly picky. I look forward for what is to come next for Moonshine. The stage has been set for Tempest Holt and what comes next in her journey. How Lou fits in and whether their paths will cross with Ness remains to be seen. I know I look forward to finding out just who it is that is leaving the trail of corpses. |

Oct 18, 2021 |
Moonshine #26 moves readers forward as the war is nigh, both sides have lost and gained. But who will end out on top and who will be left standing remains to be seen. Moonshine isn't a series I would say jump into the middle of with no previous reading. It deserves to be read in full and I do recommend giving it the due it deserves and begin in Issue #1. |

This is a super-sized issue to grab if you are a fan of the series. Or even just starting out with the worlds. I know it will lead you down a bit of a rabbit hole, be careful of Dee and Dum, but it really is worth it. What has me excited for what is to come from Zenescope this year is "The Dark Princess" and the cliffhanger is entirely worth it. |

This has been one of my favorite "Elseworld" stories since ThrillKiller, and that from me is a high honor. I have loved reading every part of this crazy ride that honestly suited Harley so well and the team made this a story that while most questions have been answered" there are many more at the open ending that I will be questioning until an animated series is done and this team is given the chance to show us more about the lives of our favorite villains and superheroes in the future. Overall I don't think anyone could ask for more from this story except for more, I mean that without any bias. Thank you guys for such an amazing arc and my fingers are crossed for more! |

Read it. Every one of the stories in this series have been magnificent, and I always look forward to the next twist on one of the pivotal moments in DC's history. Harley Quinn's Villain Of The Year #1 maybe just a one-shot comic, but I hope it is something they decide to do traditionally. It was a rare treat to some fluff amid what has been some serious times in the Harley Quinn universe. I for one was happy to have some respite. For me, I give it a 9 out of 10 for the sole purpose that I wanted just a bit more from it but all in all, it was enjoyable and well worth the read. |
