But Why Tho? - Collier "CJ" Jennings Jun 18, 2021

Radiant Black #5 wraps up the series' first story arc with an emotional battle while hinting at greater things to come in future issues. It's a miracle that I haven't run out of ways to say how great this series is, which is a testament to the creative team involved. Anyone who is a fan of good superhero stories, good comics, or good stories should definitely add it to their pull lists. Read Full Review

    BGCP - Michael Lennox Jun 30, 2021

Finding a new arc to the superhero genre in 2021 is hard, but Higgins has really tapped into something here. Focussing more on the underdog Nathan's tale allowed readers to bond quickly creating a strong link similar to the black hole armour he wears. To then almost kill and wipe the board clean with one issue to go in the first arc is gutsy and he's pulled it off. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Ronnie Gorham Jun 16, 2021

Radiant Black is the superhero book we need but don't deserve. It raises so many questions and leaves us on such a great cliffhanger you'll be begging Image to push the release date up for the next volume. Writer Kyle Higgins and artists Eduardo Ferigato and Marcelo Costa have created a fantastic and standout issue that phenomenally closes the first arc. Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Kendra Hale Jul 29, 2021

Radiant Black #5 is the ending of this arc. It finishes on a note that leaves the readers wanting more in some cases and less in others. I look forward to seeing where the story goes and what these new additions have as parts to play in the overall. Read Full Review

Lotusland Comics - Hank Rea Jun 17, 2021

'Radiant Black' closes out its first arc in outstanding fashion. From heart-breaking lows to supercharged action highs, 'Radiant Black' has subverted superhero comics in subtle and not-so-subtle ways that prove that Higgins is either a genius or a madman. Maybe both. Yet, the series continues to be fun and exciting with some of the best action sequences you'll find in comics. The stage is set for even more great stories with an epic conclusion and a gigantic cliffhanger.  Read Full Review

Caffeinated Critique - James Stone Jun 16, 2021

The first chapter of Radiant Black comes to an end and it's a very exciting issue setting things up really well for what's next to come. At the start this series felt like something really special with its approach to an origin story and now all the groundwork has been laid, I hope Radiant Black comes back with a bang. ComicBook.com - Matthew Aguilar Jun 16, 2021

Radiant Black delivered a knockout punch last issue, and while the first part of this newest issue feels like it walks things back a bit, you probably won't care one bit after where things go from there. Read Full Review
