Artist Darko Lafuente and colorist Miguel Muerto have chosen to present Satomi and her world in lighter tones and less rigged outlines. How she ends up as "Red" is much different than how Nathan became "Black". I believe the artwork helps capture that essence by taking on a more somber and even sadder tone. Lafuente does a great job of contrasting the art and style in the moments where the story is meant to be emotional versus when it's supposed to be thrilling. All of the soft tones of the opening pages are brilliant and how they change with the harshness of the situation is a great touch. Read Full Review

Trying to humanise a villain that almost killed the main character is tricky. Too far and you can alienate your audience as you encourage them to root for them. There are still questions over why Satori acted so violent against Nathan and future issues might fill in the blacks but anyway let's sit back and wait for the big showdown in Issue 7. Heartbreaking story, I do have a lot of issues with the morals of the Radiant Red and its actions on the main story as well as in here, but it was interesting to have the knowledge of the backstory to this character. Lafuente's art really sold me on the sadness and stress of this couple's life tho.
