The Harley Quinn 2022 Annual delivers a perfect the ending to the Task Force XX story arc. Honestly, I could've done with about 2 more issues, but I'm just greedy for content and a sucker for a fully fleshed story line. I'm now really looking forward to seeing what comes next for the Mistress of Mayhem! Read Full Review

I wish a little more had been done with Verdict in this comic, as she's the biggest player in Harley's regular title, but overall this run has been a lot of fun and sets up Harley for some future adventures as she heads back to earth. Read Full Review

The Comicbook Dispatch - kcscribbles Aug 30, 2022

Harley Quinn 2022 Annual #1 is a solid conclusion to the Task Force XX storyline, delivering some great fight scenes and the interplay between the characters, as well as a terrifying big bad. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - William Tucker Aug 30, 2022

Harley Quinn 2022 Annual #1 is a thrilling finale to a long arc. It may not be completely conclusive for many of the characters, but the last battle is magnificently lively and chaotic. Not one character has remained the focal point, and it has been a fusion of horror movie homages with the specific personalities that only Phillips could bring. This aside is important with the change in artists on the main series, like a palette cleanser, before we are thrown back into something new. Read Full Review

Task Force XX was not the strongest arc, but Phillips did the best she could with it. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez Aug 29, 2022

Harley Quinn 2022 Annual #1 is a serviceable-yet-bland end to the Task Force XX arc. The action art is generally good, and the ending feels complete. However, the stakes barely register above 'mild,' everything in the finale is predictable, there are no consequences for anyone's action, and Harley's ability to shake off harm from point-blank attacks has moved well beyond ridiculous. Batman-News - Theresa Campagna Aug 30, 2022

I'm truly exhausted by this comic at this point. What makes it all the worse is that I feel I'm the only one reading this book at this point. This is why it was such a bad idea to make this one weekly. I really don't know how it can last after the next arc, but what would happen if it got canceled? Would we just get yet another writer who gives the character a bad voice and doesn't really know what to do with her? Read Full Review

The best thing I can say about Harley Quinn 2022 Annual is that it concludes the "Task Force XX" story arc. Beyond that, the same issues that have plagued that arc are present here. Read Full Review

This Task Force XX arc is the low point of Stephanie Phillips' run. Everything before it, and what's been put out after it, have been much better. I don't know if it was the weekly shipping schedule or what, but it just wasn't very good.

The fact this has one, now two, reader reviews tell you how far this title has sank in terms of interest. Very bland, very boring. A reboot can’t happen soon enough.
