Totally agree, first issue had me excited!
Part two in the saga of THE SILVER COIN from all-star creators MICHAEL WALSH, CHIP ZDARSKY, KELLY THOMPSON, ED BRISSON, and JEFF LEMIRE! In 1993, classic mean girls bully a misfit teen at an idyllic summer camp. When the teen reclaims her power after a violent encounter with The Silver Coin, what follows is the stuff of horror movie legend.
The Silver Coin #2 is a gem. It gives readers the thrills and chills that a good around the campfire story is supposed to. The team ups are so fluid in their crafts that it makes the story good in all respects. If you are a horror fan this is sure to be a favorite series. Read Full Review
The story by Thompson is very well done. The dialogue is good and the story really cooks. The art by Michael Walsh is perfect for this book. It is dark and moody and appropriate. Read Full Review

As a father of kids who were bullied, as well as the victim growing up myself, I do love a good revenge story as in life bullies almost never face their comeuppance. This is a great short, stand alone issue of this anthology and well worth a read. Read Full Review
If you have the means to, do not miss out on this series. Walsh’s art is superb and these last two stories have instantly become some of my favorite works of horror fiction. Read Full Review

'The Silver Coin' #2 offers another creepy installment in the horror anthology series. This time Kelly Thompson takes us back to a time of summer camp serial killers and teenage girls. It's a fun and deadly trip down memory lane made all the more exciting by Michael Walsh's creative and terrifying visuals. This is a treat, a chilling confection for horror fans. Read Full Review
It's gruesome, and it's fun. Thompson manages something relatively deep thematically about the horror that we carry with us everywhere we go. A story that would have felt much more concise in an old horror anthology of the 1950s feels a bit long in a full-length contemporary comic book. Read Full Review
On its own The Silver Coin #2 delivers a tale sure to satisfy horror fans, but as a second issue it promises that this anthology will not disappoint or repeat itself as new writers join the effort. Whoever drafts the next story, it seems all but guaranteed that Walsh will deliver new nightmares not to be missed. Read Full Review
There's a place for this kind of simple, bloody horror in entertainment. The Silver Coin doesn't pretend to be anything more than supernatural gore; these stories embrace the genre and lean into it. Recommended for anyone looking for a Jason experience in comic form. Read Full Review

'The Silver Coin' stumbles in its second issue, but Walsh's sense of style redeems some of the more frustrating bits. Read Full Review
A nice love letter to 80s slasher movies. The ending is pretty devastating and I liked the ambiguity of how the protagonist came by the coin. Overall I actually liked this more than the first issue. And, of course, Walsh's art remains a highlight.
This was a lot of fun. I like slasher movies and that's what this is, only in comic form.
I dont think it was good as the first one but, it really wasnt bad. I do wish they explored more of the person getting the coin. It almost was a little confusing as to what actually happened in the house but, it had great art and told a good but basic tale that's been done before. Enjoyable for what it was.
This is a good camp slasher story, but it's not really different than anything that has been done in the past.
A little too cliché for me but I liked the energy.
Loved the 1st issue this............ not so much. Cliched slasher story that you would probably have seen before.
Ehhh, I’d say the first issue was really great, in terms of its story progression and the roll of the coin. As for this issue it was breeze through slasher story. Kill scenes were cool if you’re also a fan of 80s slashers. II did like the ending too, sets it up for the next issue. Next issue sounds like it has a better premise.
Cliche issue
Well, after a decent first issue I didn't think it'd descend into generic slash horror mode in the second issue. Very disappointing. Dropped.
I am more than thoroughly disappointed with this issue!
The first issue was brilliant, intriguing and unusual. Had a slight horror tone to it, with a gripping enough story to make it work.
Then there is this issue, Friday the 13th eat your heart out. Been here before, done it a million times over, boring.
The stories aren't even connected outside of the Coin, so it's easy enough to just skip this and you won't be missing anything worthwhile. Unless of course, you want to read a ripped off Friday the 13th, teen drama hack and slasher.
