meh.
I feel that it is too convenient, in other hellfire gala there were many heroes, while in this gala it was only the avengers. And although I can believe that they left because the Krakoa captain attacked the United States.
I don't understand why there weren't more heroes at the gala. it feels very convenient and anticlimactic. that without counting that orchis eas more

Let me be very clear on what kind of X-men fan I am: I love most of Krakoa era comics and I think Tini Howard is one hell of a great writer.
That said, this issue is just horrible. Duggan dropped some good ideas on previous comics that go nowhere, while at the same time failing to proper introduce the reader to whatever is going on in this packed issue. And his more political attempts n more

I'm getting pretty tired of reading what is essentially the same storyline over and over when it comes to X-Men comics. I'm a longtime X-Men fan and I absolutely love the characters -- and always will. I still read the comics because I still love the characters but the storylines are getting to be so insanely repetitive.
Another mutant genocide? Just another day in the office for the X more

Here we go again. There can be no progress in comics, the status quo must prevail. So another massacre provides the reset.

I have mixed feelings about this final issue. I love the Krakoa era. Probably one of my favorite eras of X-Men honestly. I really don’t understand why it had to go. I feel like a new crop of writers could have continued telling intriguing stories while mutants still have their island nation. But since good things don’t last forever, especially in comics, is this a satisfying farewell to Krakoamore
THE END OF AN ERA - UNCANNY X-MEN #700!
All good things must come to an end, and as good of a thing as the Krakoan era has been for mutantkind...its time has come at last. I loved the Krakoan Age so I wasn't excited about it coming to an end, but I found the ending pretty satisfying. Throughout Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X I was confused why the X-Men couldn't just return to Krakoa after it all, but here they give us the answer. I like that they were able to wrap up this status quo while still giving a feeling that it mattered and was worth sommore

I think this issue revolves around one very large question: was Krakoan worth it?
And while I have plenty of gripes about the way Fall of X was handled from an editorial standpoint, I'm left with the same conclusion that Ewing, Gillen, and Duggan come to: Yes, Krakoa was a resounding success. I can't remember the last time X-Men comics in particular felt this interesting and fresh. The more

What. An ending.
Its and to put into words how much the krakoan age means to me as an x men fan. Its the first full "era" I followed form beginning to end and introduced me to many characters i now love. I've been an x fan my entire life but this was something special. Its hard to encapsulate all possible thoughts on this era, and it certainly had its uos and downs but i can say for a more

A fairly satisfying conclusion to what is overall a very mid X-Men miniseries. The final fight with Nimrod is properly epic and I loved how Storm was the one to deliver the final blow. Still hate what they’ve done with Xavier though.
THE BATTLE FOR THE FUTURE!
It all comes down to this - Orchis versus the X-Men, winner take the future! Orchis has pushed mutantkind to their lowest point ever, but that just means the X-Men have had to fight back like never before. Will it be enough? We continue to barrel toward the conclusion of the Krakoan Age as the two stories that are on...
A mixed bag. I hate what they’re doing with Xavier but I loved everything to do with Apocalypse, Krakoa, Wrongslide et al.
MY ALLY, MY ENEMY!
They say a wounded animal can be the most dangerous kind of animal to face. As the fight between the mutants and Orchis reaches a deadly pitch, a startling revelation rocks the X-Men to their core. The two series that are one come together in one horrible betrayal as the Krakoan Age nears its conclusion!

The story is feeling very rushed and I feel like stuff is happening off panel that we should be seeing. But maybe that’s just due to the inherent chaos of crossover events. Dr. Stasis’ death was pretty satisfying I guess but I do feel like we could’ve gotten more out of it.
THE END HAS TRULY BEGUN! The X-Men have taken all they're willing to take from Orchis... Now it's time for them to do the dishing out. Unfortunately, just when it seems like one threat is over...another rises to take its place. The final battle of the Krakoan age rages as two series that are one move toward a crash that will echo across the univers...
Great showcase for Polaris and the Brood. This really marks the beginning of Orchis’ downfall. Overall an improvement over last issue.
NOT WITHOUT A FIGHT!
The X-Men may be at their lowest spot, and they may be on the brink of complete eradication...but they are not going down without a fight! Polaris returns to guide the X-Men home, bringing a wicked surprise for Orchis! This epic tale split in two continues as the Krakoan Age nears its conclusion!
An okay start to this mini-series. I’m a little confused on the timeline between X-Men #29 and this issue but hopefully Duggan pulls it all together.
KRAKOA HAS JUST BEGUN TO FIGHT!
Mutantkind has never had a greater fall. From the highs of Krakoa - their own glorious nation, a place where they were safe and happy - to the lowest of lows. Outlawed, hunted, killed, most of their kind missing or dead, and now, one their greatest leaders, Cyclops, is on trial facing a death penalty. Ready or n...
Best thing about this issue is the cover. I love that cover. As for the story? It’s simply fine.
THE END IS NIGH!
The Krakoan Age is nearly at an end...and what might be the final battle of the heroes of Krakoa! One last stop before the fall and rise come to their conclusion...and everything changes!

Bad. Just bad. Writing and pacing is all over the place. Way too rushed. And having the Latverian mutants who were only just introduced a few issues ago be the ones to kill Director Devo? Lame and unsatisfying to say the least.
X-MEN X-SSEMBLE! If there were ever a time to rally the troops and take the fight to the enemy, it's NOW! Stand side by side with the X-Men as they head for their final stand! They can't stop ALL of us!
Rated T+
A pretty good issue for fans of Magik (which I most certainly am). Wish I could rate it higher but it doesn’t stand well on it’s own; relying too much on various Fall of X tie-in miniseries.
BESTIES WITH BLOODY BLADES! Kate Pryde and Illyana Rasputin have been best friends for a long time. They've had good times, and they've had bad times. One thing they can always agree on? Stomping anti-mutant bigots' heads.

A bittersweet farewell to the Synch/Talon romance. It was great while it lasted. I’m sad for what could have been had Marvel editorial allowed the Krakoa era to stick around. Oh yeah, the fight with Nimrod was pretty good too. Kinda wish this could’ve been the final confrontation with it honestly.
THE ULTIMATE MUTANT HUNTER!
The X-Men lived in fear of Nimrod's creation, and now it's clear why! The ultimate weapon of mutant extinction is ever-adapting, ever-evolving, with only one goal - DEATH TO MUTANTKIND!
Rated T+
X-Men #30 feels a bit scattered but at its core this is a really good romantic tragedy. I have enjoyed what Duggan did with Synch and Talon throughout this run, and seeing them together in action again here was very satisfying. Makes me wish even more so that year 3 of Duggan’s Krakoan X-Men didn’t have to be this mess that is Fall of X. Instead we could have had Synch and Laura leading the temore

As the chaos of mutantkind's fight back against their fall at the hands of Orchis rages in FALL OF THE HOUSE OF X, other forgotten foes come from the woodwork to take on the X-Men in their time of peril! This feels like a wasted issue. As a standalone it’s fine but I’m just not that interested in these Latverian mutants.

With the X-Men at their lowest point, yet another group has moved to claim their title...this one a band of patriotic Latverian mutants loyal only to the great and terrible Doctor Doom! Beloved and celebrated by the nation they are bound to protect, this is one squad of X-Men for whom the Fall of X has given way to gloriou...
A solid issue that moves the Firestar plot along nicely. I enjoyed her “fight” with Juggernaut.
HOT AND HEAVY!
Juggernaut has come a long way from his beginnings as a bully transformed into an unstoppable foe of the X-Men. In fact, he'd recently become one of mutantkind's best human allies. So why is he trying to kill Firestar?
Rated T+
Another solid issue for this series under Fall of X, though I do feel as though this is a bit scattered at times. The first few pages of this issue with Gunfire were really intriguing, but there wasn't really any follow-up to it here whatsoever. The story with Firestar being forced to be a double agent was interesting, at least. I'm hoping that Doctor Doom's mutant team ends up being cool, as I'm more

Enjoyable X-men book with the usual meat and potatoes from Duggan and great art from Cassara.

The X-Men take an amusing detour to visit the Fantastic Four. Love the focus Rasputin IV received here. She’s one of my favorite characters introduced in the Krakoa era.
SOMETHING CAUGHT YOUR EYE?
When Cyclops joined this iteration of the X-Men, his pitch was simple - "I am the X-Men." If this is so, the enemies of X-Men seem to have this fight all sewn up.
Rated T+
Another overcrowded issue but I enjoyed it much more than the previous one. I’m happy with how the double-agent Firestar subplot went here with Kate talking it out with Angelica. Be interesting to see how that develops. Otherwise, I couldn’t care less about the Frost/Stark pairing.
"WE'RE NOT LOSING AN X-MAN... WE'RE GAINING AN AVENGER!" The moment we swore would never happen-heck, the moment EMMA FROST swore would never happen-is here at last! As the Frost/Stark knot is tied in INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #10, Emma's mutant family reacts to this surprise news!
Rated T+
Mostly a set-up issue. Planting seeds for some of the Fall of X tie-ins. I think I’d enjoy this more if the Krakoa era had continued beyond Fall of X. Kate reverting to her ninja mode is cool and her massacre of the Orchis troop was an intense scene. I liked all of that stuff, but I’m tired of stories about mutant massacres and the X-Men being at their lowest.
THE FALL.
She's been known as Kitty, Sprite, Ariel, Red Queen and Captain Kate. Now, as a new X-Men team finds their way through their darkest hour...SHADOWKAT emerges!
I really didn’t like this. Very weak start to year 3 of Duggan’s X-Men. Here’s the thing: I love Krakoa. Where a lot of other readers seem to see the overall story moving too slowly with random subplots, I see a possible status quo. Why does Krakoa have to go anywhere? Why can’t future X-Men writers keep coming up with inventive adventures for mutants with Krakoa still being around? Anywaymore

X-Men #24 is all over the place. The fight with Pogg Ur-Pogg was entertaining and could’ve been the focus of an entire issue. But the creative team tries cramming too many story threads before the next Hellfire Gala. There is so much going on here that I feel like the content could be stretched out into at least two issues. A very disappointing closure to what was mostly a fantastic year 2 of Dumore
POGG UR-POGG FOR HIRE! Hired for the dirtiest of jobs, a deadly mercenary comes crashing into the X-Men right at their most vulnerable moment! But not just any mercenary - finally, the breakout fan-favorite from X OF SWORDS, Pogg Ur-Pogg, returns!
Rated T+
Pretty much just an action issue which is fine because Duggan writes this team really well. The overall Orchis plot is starting to feel like it is spinning its wheels though. And I guess I would need to read Duggan’s Iron Man (not really that interested tbh) to see how the anti-mutant organization gained control of his tech. Overall this is an okay issue but not one of Duggan’s best.
THE SENTINELS GET AN UPGRADE! Anti-mutant fantasist Feilong has taken control of Tony Stark's businesses and devoted Iron Man's technology toward the next generation of Sentinels! These Stark Sentinels are as hard to beat as old Shell-head himself and are fully devoted to crushing the X-Men!
Rated T+
Mostly a setup issue for upcoming plot-lines but there’s still enough satisfying character moments to make for an entertaining read.
ORCHIS RISING!
Mutantkind may be stronger than ever, but that just makes their enemies more determined than ever to tear them down. Orchis' plans are in motion, preparing for the fall?
Rated T+
This is still a pretty good issue but disappointing as a conclusion to the Brood arc. Nightmare is dispatched with rather easily and I would’ve liked to see a bit more of Scott and Jean butting heads over how to handle these parasitic aliens. Scott just seemed to fold a little too easily. It’s not Duggan’s worst issue, just kind of a letdown from parts I & II.
LORD OF THE BROOD: THE CONCLUSION!
Why have the Brood gone mad? Which of the X-Men's past deeds is coming back to haunt them? And are bloodthirsty alien monsters even the biggest threat the team is currently facing? All these answers and more will be revealed! Featuring a connecting cover to CAPTAIN MARVEL #48!
