Ra’s al Ghul holds all the cards and dictates terms to Batman and his team. Batman has a major rift with Black Canary and Green Arrow, leading Batgirl to take charge of operations. But she’s going to need to recruit a powerful ally before she can launch the invasion of Ra’s' stronghold.
This is a turning point issue for this series. No longer is this simply an alternate take on a familiar world, but the creative team has successfully depicted a world truly split as both sides appear valid in their beliefs. While Batman's potency has been slowly eroded, the other side is gaining a strength in both ideology and numbers. Read Full Review
The women take center stage as Kara attempts to infiltrate the paradise that once was Themyscira"a gambit that is both a failure and an unexpected success. Kara continues to feel like a pawn of Black Adam and overall the Superman faction is a bit wobbly but gaining strength. The big question is whether Diana will help bring this group together or contribute further to its disintegration because right now Superman's supporters feel rather scattered. Bringing back the God of War in also an intriguing development. We've had a bit of cool down now: perhaps we're ready to heat things up again! Read Full Review
A more low key issue that's necessary to set up what'spossibly to come. With a main character starting to go down a darker road thanusual and the introduction of an amazing new character this issue was greateven without having a lot of the big moments we've come to expect fromInjustice 2. Like previous issues, Tom Taylor delivers another riveting story and unlike the regular DCU, this world is all about expecting the unexpected which is where this writer succeeds. Furthermore, Tom creates a very compelling universe and his knowledge of the lore of the DCU is exceptional, especially with all the characters he includes in his stories. With lots of surprises along the way and lots of action, Injustice 2 #15 also boasts some exceptional art thanks to Mike Miller, even though the cover looks a little too much like Fathom. Nonetheless, a very enjoyable read from start to finish! Read Full Review
Injustice 2 sets the stage for a great character to return in the next issue while spending this one focusing on what's shaping the narrative. You can dislike Ra's and what he's actually doing while also understanding it on a logical level, which makes him a compelling villain in this round because he believes he's doing the right thing even if the methods and how of it all is wrong. Contrasting that with the tension in the ranks through the heroes over the kids being kidnapped and what the nature of leadership is going to be like with Batgirl taking the reins. There's a lot to like here as it pushes the overall storyline forward while putting in some solid character material and some tense moments. Very good stuff all around. Read Full Review
Kara's journey as a character seems to be leading her towards eventually turning on the corrupting influences that found her, and that's a story I'm looking forward to seeing. Read Full Review
Right now, the series feels very much trapped in a transitional state, struggling to build a new overarching conflict that can live up to the initial Ra's al Ghul storyline. Read Full Review
