Strong ending to a story that could have stood to be shorter.
This felt like a rushed finale. And there is no excuse for that when you take 12 issues to tell a story.
Lemire has a pacing issue in this book. There was no reason to draw this story out for 12 issues. Then the ending happened at such a quickened pace, it gave me whiplash. Build-up, more build-up, and boom, it's over. I'm so tired of writers drawing stories out for a year or more. The editors should mandate 6-issue story arcs. Can anyone tell me why writers are doing this? It seems like every one of the writers from the big-two just love to draw their stories out until no one even cares by the end. There are are also far too many characters in this book. Choose either the new JSA or the old JSA. We don't need both. I hope the next storyline is better.
