"Equilibrium" part one! A simple recon mission to gather intel on the new Super-Man of China goes pear-shaped when Amanda Waller's Suicide Squad find themselves trapped in the siege of Shanghai and must team up with the Justice League of China to defeat Emperor Super-Man!
This issue is a breeze to read through, it conveys it's plot in a simple manner and allows events to unfold without bogging down the reader by having an awkward pace. Read Full Review
Where the heck is this going? This, as usual, was a very entertaining book. I love what writer Gene Luen Yang is doing here. And I'm glad DC is keeping the book going! Read Full Review
The insane events of the past few issues come to a head...then come to a head again...then there's a lull and then they come to a head again. You'll never feel cheated out of the cover price with this book. The characters are fully-formed and a lot of fun, and I implore you to give it a look if you haven't already. Read Full Review
Still worth reading, but weighted down by unnecessary tropes and guest appearances, New Super-Man remains a unique superhero read. Read Full Review
Yes, the Suicide Squad is completely unnecessary. Yet, we still got some great moments such as the Justice League of China (hoping that it's official now) and the family meeting. The last page left me really excited for the next issue.
What is the Suicide Squad doing here? Some good stuff, and good art, but it's a bit scattershot.
Very poorly paced issue with bad action.
