Get Your Comic On - Neil Vagg
Jan 21, 2026Watters drives "Cirque du Sin toward its finale with a bold, ensemble-driven chapter that balances Nightwing's personal descent into the circus with chaos spilling across Bldhaven. V Ken Marion and Veronica Gandini elevate the spectacle, making this feel like a blockbuster issue rather than a simple stepping stone. Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield
Jan 21, 2026. The dark visuals of this issue make for a nice contrast with the more action-packed segments, and it's interesting that this ties in so heavily with the 5th dimension stuff that Tom Taylor debuted with Nite-Mite. The concept is so often used with more comic elements in the Superman books that it's pretty rare to see it used for horror, like it was very effectively during the Emperor Joker story long ago. This has been set up nightly for a big conclusion. Read Full Review

COMICON - Scott Redmond
Jan 29, 2026Everything is on the line as Nightwing takes the fight straight to his biggest enemy, and massive sacrifices are made in the process. A darkly rich story from this creative team that puts the hero in the tightest of spots and doesn’t let up. Read Full Review

AIPT - Michael Guerrero
Jan 21, 2026Overall, Nightwing #134 is a solid issue that largely overcomes its obstacles. While the conflict between Nightwing and Zanni has been building for some time, this chapter does much of the heavy lifting in establishing just how different a threat Zanni is compared to Nightwing's usual foes. At times, the issue can feel a bit confusing and hard to follow, but it remains engaging and succeeds in keeping the reader curious. As this arc moves toward its conclusion, readers will want to stay tuned to see how everything ultimately comes together. Read Full Review

Jan 21, 2026Though Watters has some fun ideas, and V Ken Marion does a splendidly 90s job with the visuals, the overall effect of the story is too thin and worn. Read Full Review

Even though the art isn't as good as Dexter Soy, the pacing, and writing for Nightwing, Oracle and Martian Manhunter is solid. I just realize that this is one of the first few times Dick Grayson talks to Martian Manhunter

I like the art, but I think Soy's was better for what they were trying to do with this arc.

"Some things are just a bad idea" the perfect quote from the issue which defines the entire mess of a story Dan Water has written his whole run. Great art but this story is so awful that I have to drop this after the next issue's conclusion for my own sanity. Nightwing deserves so much better than this.
