Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj Feb 10, 2017

Don't know if I need to say again how much I enjoyed this any more. We got a determined, intelligent, strong, caring Supergirl. We got hints into the future of the title. We got a primer on Kryptonian history. And we got even more callbacks to DC history. And with this behind us, I am ready to have this title take off. Read Full Review

    ComicBuzz - Josh Price Feb 21, 2017

If we continue to get decent stories like this that challenge Kara as a superhero as well as a Kryptonian while being unafraid to visit darker places in lieu of playing it positive and safe, we may end up with a promising new Supergirl series. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Jordan Calhoun Feb 7, 2017

Overall, Supergirl's quality has maintained throughout the series, only that becomes tiring when it becomes too familiar, too soon. At the end of this arc we're definitely in familiar territory that makes the climax less exciting than if we were given a curve ball or anything outside the formula we've come to recognize. This series never set out to change much of how we see Supergirl (if you want that, try the new Being Super series by Mariko Tamaki), but hopefully this next arc can do more to give us something more unpredictable. I thought this was a great conclusion to this arc. Most of the issue was filled with great panels of kick ass action sequences. This was done without losing the heart of who Supergirl is. Read Full Review

    We The Nerdy - Jean-Luc Botbyl Feb 8, 2017

I dont quite know that Im entirely sold on Supergirl. Issue #6 definitely had its problems–a weak villain and lack of tension being its bane–but hey, that could just be a consequence of me lacking context. I enjoyed this issue enough that I would like to continue with Supergirl going forward. Who knows, maybe Ill even pick up the trade. Read Full Review

Steve Orlando writes Supergirl well, which added zest to a somewhat ordinary story, but the rushed look of the artwork again detracted from the issue. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Jim Werner Feb 8, 2017

I love Supergirl and really want to like this book, but it's getting harder and harder.  While this arc potentially sets up some cool things down the pike, this issue was a dud of an ending for the long winded Reign of Cyborg Supermen story.  The art was good, but I need more than simple and repetitive characterizations to make me care about what happens in a story and then when you force an ending, it gets that much worse.  I hope this book improves because I can't recommend what we are getting here. DC Comics News - Sean Blumenshine Feb 8, 2017

I did not enjoy this issue that much. There are some nice moments mainly in Kara's characterization but the issue is mainly dull. This story is not all that engaging. What doesn't help is the art which does not work for me. It constantly takes me out of the story and frustrates me. I don't like looking at the book and I don't recommend reading it.
