Clark Kent’s idyllic teen life is wrenched away when the death of a classmate rocks Smallville. As he and his friends grieve, the challenges they face become darker, more complex, and deeply insidious. For the first time in his life, Clark must grapple with life’s biggest questions, and confront his own mortality (or lack thereof) in order to become the hero his beloved town needs. Acclaimed GLAAD Media Award-nominated writer and artist Sina Grace (Iceman) tells the deeply moving and quintessential story of teenage Clark Kent and the town that must overcome grief and hate to restore hope.

Superman: The Harvests Of Youth is a wonderful book. For me, it ranks with John Byrne's original Man Of Steel, and Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's Superman For All Seasons as one of the finest tales of Clark Kent's formative years. Please, do not sleep on this book, buy a copy and share it. Read Full Review

I can only hope many teenagers get to read Superman: The Harvests of Youth. There's a strong lesson in this graphic novel about not letting online influence warp your world view while also conveying that an important part of growing up is caring about others. You may have friends who are distant or seemingly angry at you, and Grace tries to show we're all going through stuff in our own complicated ways. Being there with open arms is key, and as Superman reminds us, that's a superpower we can all use more of. Read Full Review

I don't know if this is a perfect Superman origin, because it's rough around the edges in a way that we've never really seen before. I do know that it's a version of Superman that many kids might see themselves in, and that in and of itself is a massive win. Read Full Review

Sina Grace had created a book for the modern audience with this book. The characters and their dialogue feel real and thought out. It is a good script, if a bit (only a little) heavy handed at times. It is an easy read and it is incredibly emotional. The artwork is perfect and works hand in hand with the script. I wouldn't mind reading a few more adventures with this world that Grace has developed here. It is a very strong and effective piece. Read Full Review

Its a story full of heart with a beautiful art, it takes characters from the smallville show and tries to make them relevant in the young clark world. Now the problems with this story is that it really tries to hard that at the end it feels more like a Wattpad fanfic, rather than a Superman story. The inclussion of a charcter like Chloe Sullivan just to giver her the personality of a wet towel, the new romantic interest who's just an art student cliché, and even the design of Martha Kent fails. It's a great concept who tried to touch the Sun but failed. If you want to read a wattpad fan fic then this will be for you. But if youre a Superman fan who wants to see the adventures of a Smallville Clark, just watch the TV Show.

A total dumpstar fire of a book. -1 from art to story this book is a loser.
