Remember how everything was converging? Its all-out war for Cadmus Island against Brother Eye! Storylines collide in this cant-miss issue!
Futures End has had its ups and downs throughout its run, but this issue is definitely a highlight. There are some major revelations that will surely shape the path this book takes moving forward. This action packed issue is an exhilarating ride that will definitely leave you wanting more. I personally hope that more issues contain this amount of energy as the series begins its march towards its inevitable end. Read Full Review
I don't know how I'm going to feel when this series goes back to telling a bunch of different stories each issue because these past two weeks have been a treat with the writers focusing solely on one story. This seems to be the conclusion to the Cadmus Island story arc and man was it a fight to the finish. Just a really fun exciting end to a story that's had it's ups and downs and it's satisfying to know that we're done this leg of our journey to Five Years From Now. Go check it out and continue your foray into the future. Read Full Review
Keep this up and you might actually redeem yourself in my eyes, Future's End. I don't have much faith in you, but I have been wrong before. Read Full Review
I'm of two minds on this particular issue. One, I really liked that they wrapped up this Cadmus Island storyline. It has been going on for a while and this one has felt like it has really dragged a lot, going nowhere for a long time. It feels nice to see things get going and still leave some rather interesting story bits that could be exciting to see. On the other hand, this issue made me scratch my head a lot. A lot of things don't feel properly explained or explored (like Lois Lane meeting Red Tornado or the island ending the way it did) and some parts just feel incredibly rushed. It didn't make the island as satisfying as it could be. Plus the artwork" was pretty mediocre. A new artist for this weekly, Tom Raney, did the art and his style really looked off. The body proportions, the facial expressions, the awkward action, and boring layouts" it was ultimately a mess. Read Full Review
This week were given another solid storyline as opposed to the jumping from one story to the next approach weve been getting in the past. Brother Eye doesnt like to be bothered, but Green Arrow doesnt really seem to care. Read Full Review
While not the worst issue ofFutures EndI've read,at this point I expect much, much morefrom issues focusing solely on one story line. Some rather large plot points are made in this issue which makes it at least meaningful, but I didn't enjoy it very much. So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving: I'm thankful the issue is not a waste. Stuff is happening, but it's not something you care about.
Meh
Plenty of action in this issue but unfortunately it felt very rushed. It's like getting a "C" on a homework assignment you did on the car ride to school, the morning it was due. So many things were just glossed over, like Lois and Red Tornado, Deathstroke and Grifter. Also clunky dialogue and some awful art ruins what at least could've been a fun issue despite some lapses in writing. There is a panel of Power Girl's face that just looks grotesque and the proportions of faces are just off on so many pages, it's somewhat embarrassing that it's been published. A wasted opportunity to wrap up the Cadmus Island storyline. Honestly, I feel Future's End was an ambitious and promising project ruined by the fact that it needed to be a weekly. There more
