Overall, this is a great issue. It serves to tie up some loose ends, closes out the story with Hades; but I think it's good that Azzarello left it sort of open ended. This is clearly not the last we've seen of Hades, and there may be room yet to develop his character further in the future. I think that it's interesting to see so many characters team up with Wonder Woman, all to save Zola. I think it's great that they all have their individual motivations, and that's important. I would have liked to see a bit more of that in this issue. The art in this issue is gorgeous; I'm a big fan of Akins on this series and I think he did a stellar job in this issue. This issue wraps up the current story and the next will likely be a good place for new readers to start this series; although this issue is pretty easy to read as well. This is a consistently good series, and I am looking forward to the next issue. Read Full Review

The creative teams have done a great job, building a unique mythology and odd cast of characters around the venerable Amazon - and have breathed new, fresh life into this series. Great work all around! Read Full Review

That final few pages, that final moment just made this issue stick with me as a truly special one. It showcases Diana's love, and that she truly does have love for everyone, enough love to hope that everyone can love themselves as much as she loves them. Not only that, but Hades is depicted as a truly tragic character in many ways. PLUS we get some incredible character work for Hephaestus in the few pages he appears. However, that one moment is the strongest of the whole issue. It's a moment that I think is truly beautiful in every way, and it makes for a completely satisfying issue. I think if it weren't for the fact that Chiang took a leave for this issue then it'd basically be a perfect issue, especially for this comic. I've been praising this book since issue #1, and it's never been better than it's been now. Let's hope Azzarello doesn't slow down going forward. Read Full Review

    IGN - Poet Mase Jun 20, 2012

Wonder Woman is one of my favorite books, month to month, and it always surprises me. I keep expecting Justice League fights with Diana portrayed as a strong, positive female character who sets out to punish evil and right wrongs in the traditional comic book fashion. Instead, she's consistently a strong, positive female character who just listens to her heart and tries earnestly to be a good person. I had never seen Wonder Woman as that kind of character before Azzarello's run, but I wouldn't want it any other way. What's more, the book is so accessible to both adolescent readers and neophytes of any age that it has the ability to win your heart every issue. Now if I could just get my local comic shop to stop hiding Cliff Chiang's covers on the bottom row of the rack" Read Full Review

Like much of Azzarello's work, the underlying themes of his stories aren't clear on the surface, but spontaneously reveal themselves when you pay closer attention. Read Full Review

"Wonder Woman" #10 continues the trend of strong comics for this series, both in writing and art. And if Kano ever wants to come back and draw more "Wonder Woman," well, I won't complain. As much as I love Chiang's art, and also appreciate Akins as a regular fill-in artist, Kano's more than proven this month that he has what it takes to draw "Wonder Woman," too. Read Full Review

    Heretical Jargon - Heretic Jun 24, 2012

There were a few little glitches in the dialog, awkward and silly. But this isn't too strange if you're familiar with Azzarello's work. Still, you might chuckle after reading them""Meat? Meet and Amazon""Can't it just be MY mess?"I also wasn't clear as to why Wonder Woman felt the need to constantly refuse or reject the help of those who offered it. Of course, I wasn't even sure how this was ONLY Wonder Woman's fight as she stated multiple times. I guess I was simply waiting patiently for the reasoning behind this arc other than setting Wonder Woman's "New 52" character up. Nothing in this arc set the stage for futureentanglementswith Hades. It's only Strife that has a future in Wonder Woman's list of potential returning villains, and she was the one I had hoped would never come back at all. Oh well. The art is gorgeous. The color of Diana's skin within the halls of Hell, as well as the garb she was made to wear made her seem dead, as if she wer Read Full Review

There's a lot of great setup to this issue of Wonder Woman, even if the overgrown pantheon of demigods steals more than their share of Diana's thunder. With some evocative art and a wonderful first impression, we get the sense that Azzarello knows the hidden potential of the Amazing Amazon. If only she more space to show it off. Read Full Review
