The author’s introduction celebrates that the characters presented in this anthology “are no longer defined by who they are.” What an accurate depiction of wokism: it doesn’t matter who you are as an individual, all that matters is how your race, gender, or sexual orientation can be used to facilitate divisiveness.

This kind of cheap virtue signaling is dehumanizing and offensive. Black people are often trapped in high crime areas with failing school systems. The conclusion was somewhat satisfying. But, SPOILER ALERT, the final dialogue between Nina and her mother was unbearable. So repetitive and inconclusive.
