A better issue then the last several have been, but it still lacks something. A book about Earth 2 characters trapped on the main New 52 Earth (New Earth, Earth 1, Earth Prime?) should feel a little more connected to the DCU. Levitz started to achieve that a little with Helena's relationship with Damian, but he is gone now. Now that Kara and Supergirl have met, hopefully we will see more from that as well. Levitz can only delay Power Girl and Huntress meeting Superman and Batman, respectively, for so long before readers lose interest completely. Read Full Review

Simmering in the background since the first storyline was the idea that Power Girl might be slowly growing weaker. Against Hakkou, she succumbed to the radiation. Here her punches seem ineffective. Why this would happen 5 years into her stay on Earth seems odd so hopefully that will be explored. I do like the idea that the people from different Earths might have different power levels in a different universes. So what can I say, this felt like a pretty empty issue with a couple of good moments. As usual, it is the small character moments that shine here ... no surprise given Levitz is at the helm. For a series that has been schizophrenic with its art, we finally get an issue with a single artist. I don't love Robson Rocha's art but it's passable and he certainly has a flair for drawing Power Girl in action. The idea of the pair fighting a giant hell dog sounds more fun that the actual adventure, and I could do with less Apokolips-centric storylines (which at this point doesn't seem likely).
