So nothing egregiously wrong with this issue. But nothing substantive either. And I get it ...Karen is a free spirit, comfortable with her body, and with a healthy sexual appetite. "Worlds' Finest" #5 shows what this book could become if it doesn't find a voice relatively soon. As part of the second wave of relaunched comics, this series was my most anticipated. Kevin Maguire and George Prez are among my favorite artists. To this point, however, we've got a half-year worth of comics and not a lot of story. As a matter of fact, "Worlds' Finest" can be summed up in a sentence: Karen and Helena want to go home, but they're not sure how to get there and don't know what to do. Hopefully Levitz and crew can figure out what to do to make "Worlds' Finest" a comic more worthy of that moniker. For now, it's simply "Worlds' Mediocre-est." Read Full Review

Reading this series I find it funny that in nearly every issue, Power Girl has strategically burned through her suit in the center of her chest. This isn't a criticism, just an observation. I mean, what's the sense of giving her a new suit if you're just going to tear right through it anyway? Maybe DC should never have tried to "fix" PG's costume in the first place. Just a thought. So, we are given the very definition of a filler issue here. Each part as uninteresting as the other. The art is serviceable and works for what it is, but it doesn't really hold your attention. These type of issues can work wonders when the reader needs a break from all the story arcs, however this title doesn't warrant a “breather”, especially after issue zero.
