This issue is also the first step to connecting this book to any book besides “Earth 2″ that DC is currently publishing. We get a glimpse at Supergirl and Robin, the New Earth versions of our heroes, and we see their relationship to the heroes of this world taking shape, with Helena looking for a connection and Karen looking for avoidance. Whether this book moves towards the DCnU center remains to be seen, but as long as it continues to be stuffed full of ideas, differing directions, great art, and fun stories, it will remain essential reading. So as I said ... sort of an up and down issue. The Huntress part was wonderful, showcasing Helena's personality and skills as well as contrasting her to Damian. It is this part of the book I would love to see explored more ... just what is it like to be on Earth 1 after living on Earth 2. But the Karen part seemed off. It is though Levitz feels he needs to put a spotlight on the sexual side of Karen, almost to the exclusion of everything else. And what I want is a well rounded character ... especially someone who is not only carrying the mantle of Power Girl, but Supergirl as well. How about one issue without a destroyed costume or a sexual conquest? How about an issue with just super-heroics? I mean getting handsy with a guy at the Cern collider at a boom tube test was odd enough. But showing up at a work meeting, spilling out of a fuzzy bath robe? That's comical. Read Full Review

The Helena/Damian story works better than Power Girl's tale which really isn't given enough time to develop. That said, we are give the brutal one-note Damian though most of the story, at least until his curiosity at Helena's true identity gets the best of him. I will be interest to see if Helena becomes the New 52 big sister stand-in for Stephanie Brown to teach him a little humility and humanity. Worth a look. Read Full Review

Although I wouldn't rate this as one of the best comics I have ever read, this brought a confrontation we (as fans) knew was inevitable and were waiting for. I would definitely give this a 3.5 out of 5 (previous issues would get less, with the exception of #0) as I think the book is not about to hit its stride. It took a bit to get here, which is too bad, as it now seems like things are getting fun. At this point, I wouldn't jump on to this title just yet if you haven't picked up older issues, but get the first trade and then pick it up. I have a feeling Levitz et al are planning some nifty crossovers between the universes at some point soon. Read Full Review

So, the book is split in two and one side is clearly better than the other. Power Girl comes off like an after thought as Huntress steals the show. Maguire continues to produce some great work, which highlights the flaws in Prez's pencils. It is a shame that the book seems so divided in quality as both characters deserve some consistency. But this issue is the Huntress show with Power Girl in a cameo role. Read Full Review

You may want to pick up this issue if you are a Damian fan, but I still dont know where this series is going to go after this story arc. I think I am just going to finish up this story arc, and probably drop the series. The story just doesnt make me care for Huntress and Powergirl. Most of the story arcs are dreadfully boring. So, clearly, I had a few issues with this comic. I felt that the issue left a lot to be desired, the structure was weird and the direction of the story was unclear. Levitz takes a lot of liberties with character's who aren't in panel, and sort of just does whatever he wants. I didn't feel like he put much thought into the way the plot should unfold at all. I think this issue has a lot of problems. The idea behind the story, the first encounter, could have been great but I felt that overall the story was poorly structured, disorganized, not very well thought out and just badly executed.
