Evil Ernie was originally created by Lady Death. It's obvious that can no longer be the case. Are you willing to be a true fan of Evil and see “What If… Evil Ernie was created in a world without Lady Death?” I'm sure if you did you would bepleasantly surprised at how much fun this book is becoming! Also, if you support this book, who knows? We might finally get to see more of our Chaos! Cast: Chastity, Bedlam, Purgatori, Jade, The Omen, and who knows what else! Sometimes the only way to move forward is to reboot everything. Not the way Marvel or DC does it, they do it for sales. Evil Ernie is being rebooted for stories and substance! Read Full Review

Evil Ernie is a series to watch. The character building, along with the artwork are strong points in this issue. If the story can take shape with a solid plot both long and short term in the next couple of issues then I think this series is looking at a very bright future. This is definitely a comic book worth looking at. Read Full Review

    Entertainment Fuse - Nicole D'Andria Nov 16, 2012

Evil Ernie still doesnt look like himself, a skeletal biker, but is instead a fleshy meat sac. In some panels he looks like a clown. But his design does a bit better when he is doing an Exorcist reference. He looks human, but has the flesh around his mouth exposed. I also like how his design has no midsection, save for some green shine! I wonder, if he ate food, where it would go Read Full Review

Evil Ernie #2 is quite good, and has much going for it " horror fans who like the genre unremittingly dark and gruesome will love it, but for me, I'm hoping the story moves away from its litany of deaths, and comes back into focus " emphasizing the more operatic, human qualities that Snider nurtured in the debut issue. Comic Vine - Tony 'G-Man' Guerrero Nov 14, 2012

Evil Ernie is back and getting pretty comfortable with his new abilities. This book contains the amount of violence you would hope for and expect with the character. The killings are varied and you don't feel like you're seeing the same things over and over. Jesse Blaze Snider is crafting a new origin for Ernie and, as a new reader, I'm enjoying seeing how it all unfolds. My main concern with this issue was some moments with inconsistency in the art. Part look pretty good and other panels felt a little lazy. I'm still hooked into the story. The issue ends with a cliffhanger and it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next issue. Bloody Disgusting - BigJ Nov 20, 2012

The issue ends on cliffhanger as Evil Ernie finds himself caught in the middle of a prison riot. While first issue of this series had a great mixture of character development and action, issue #2 focuses more on the carnage that Evil Ernie can inflict as he goes on a prison rampage. It will be interesting to see where the creative team take this storyline and what they will do to keep readers interest peaked after their initial thirst for blood has been quenched. Snider and Craig are going to need to find a balance between action and character development if they want to keep readers on board for the long haul. Read Full Review

The writer, Snider has a cool background so I have faith that this can get better, and we all know that Origin stories can be sometimes dragging. Also I feel this might be a better read as a collected edition when the arc is over. I will say that if you enjoyed the original Evil Ernie series, you'll dig this one too! Read Full Review
