Big Comic Page - Mark Scott
Feb 01, 2023So, yes, of course I am going to enthuse about this book. Its made by some of my favourite people in comics, and its another superb first issue by this creative team. If you arent already reading Rich Doueks work or enjoying the pure horror of Alex Cormacks artwork then please, grab this off the shelf. Oh, and make sure to buy Road of Bones, and Sea of Sorrows, and just follow the rabbit hole from there. If youre already a fan then pick it up, youre already too far down the rabbit hole to back out now! Read Full Review

Graphic Policy - Brett
Feb 01, 2023Rich Douek and Alex Cormack have found success previously with Road of Bones and Sea of Sorrows and Breath of Shadows looks like it'll continue that streak. The comic has all of the setup to really create an intriguing story that might be nightmare inducing for some and have a bit of depth to it as well. An entertaining start that teases what's to come. An unsettlingly vivid work of body - and insect - horror, this first issue will get under the skin, ensuring that those who aren't completely revolted will keep coming back for more. Read Full Review

It could have used a stronger ending hook to really make it exciting, but it did a good job of setting up the story. I liked the art, the premise seems good. It's a good foundation that has promise.
