Who knows what mysteries lie deep in the asteroid belt? When a mysterious, huge, and previously undiscovered asteroid looms over their ship, a small crew of blue-collar workers discovers a terrifying threat unlike anything they've ever seen. Now, the crew must escape the asteroid, but even if they do, will they be able to escape each other and anything they bring back with them? A chilling and thrilling new tale from writer Steve Niles (30 Days of Night, The October Faction) and artist Nat Jones (Frank Frazetta's Death Dealer)!
Introduces the story well and has a good art style that'll get under your skin. Read Full Review
Delta 13 is a Sci-fi Horror tale that feels familiar enough for readers to immediately recognize the peril that our protagonists face but also fresh enough to excite and unsettle. Issue #1 is slower than expected but made a solid introduction nonetheless. Read Full Review
As a sci-fi horror though, being set in space aside, there isnt much of either in this opening but its definitely one to keep an eye on. Read Full Review

With that being said, this is not a terrible book by any means. Delta 13 #1 is not a good start to this series. It leaves breadcrumbs that could lead to interesting places, but the pacing, at-times inorganic dialogue, characterization, and art all fall just short of being good. Its not unbearable, but it is a struggle to even call it passable. As such, I cant recommend this comic. Give it a pass. Read Full Review
Not much happening except for the last page. Characters lack personality. Art is good but repetitive. Pedestrian dialogue.
Both creators have done much better work.
I will check out the next issue though.
