    SciFiPulse - Patrick Hayes Oct 14, 2018

This issue gets my highest possible recommendation for this pair of scary stories intended for younger readers, but sure to please those fond of classic vampire films. There's some good laughs and solid scares in this issue, whose art is out of this world. Who would have thought that Kelley Jones would illustrate a book intended for younger readers? And he didn't need to hold anything back! Absolutely awesome reading for all Star Wars fans and those of Hammer Films. Read Full Review

Honestly, this should have been the first issue as it would have given the series a stronger start. The story is much, much better this time around, featuring more recognizable characters within the Star Wars universe. The depictions are creatively inspired and embrace the book's horror objective while having fun in the process with a little PEW PEW PEW action to go around. Read Full Review

Flickering Myth - Ricky Church Oct 18, 2018

Star Wars Adventures: Tale from Vader's Castle #2 again tells a somewhat simple story, but Scott captures the spirits of Obi-Wan and Count Dooku and mixesStar WarsandDraculawell together. Kelley Jones' artwork is the selling point of the issue with some great horror-themed visuals, especially when it comes to depicting the late Christopher Lee asa monster-bat Sith Lord. You can't ask for much more than that with an issue like this. Read Full Review

I did have some fun with the story though. It was cool seeing Obi-Wan and Adi working together and I enjoyed Dooku. I’m also pretty interested in the present day plot. Mustafar and especially Vader’s Castle itself is an interesting location, and I’m already familiar with Lina from Scott’s past work so I’m liking seeing more of her. I do enjoy a lot of Scott’s work so I’m still looking forward to what other stories this series has to tell. Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - Elias Rosner Oct 12, 2018

Atmosphere abounds in this creepy, spooky tale but not even the art can save a mediocre story that feels paint by the numbers. There was potential for a great all-ages horror story here but it fails to surprise or remain cohesive. Read Full Review
