The issue's great cliffhanger also provides some hope for the future, but this title is putting out a lot more mediocre/poor issues than good ones recently. Donnie is a total badass in the beginning of this issue. I appreciate the emotional turmoil that Mikey displays, it's very authentic and puts a compelling strain on the family. As a result, Splinter has become more morally gray than I've ever seen before, but I completely identify with his approach. It seems inevitable that this powder keg will explode, but I'm not sure I'd make different moves from Splinter if I were put in the same situation.
This comic series suffers from banter there is no doubt but this wasn't the worst I have seen and I really enjoyed Donatello's opening moment. It was a great start to this new arc.
definitely a very exposition heavy issue. this is a very rich layered story than anyone wanting to ‘jump on’ to this series will HAVE to read the back issues!!! . . . . . . . .
that being said, Fans who have truly invested in this series will greatly appreciate the depth placed within this issue.

we get some banter between the Street Phantoms, Jammer and Maze in the beginning of the issue. ( i’m taking it that Turk is the strong silent type?)
