All in all the series is finding it's feet again after a slightly shaky start to the new status quo established post issue 50. Issue 62 builds towards the future with some great character development and intriguing questions about where the family goes from here. Read Full Review

IDW's TMNT ongoing series continues to impress, while it has stumbled a little in its past few issues #62 picks up and gets the series back into high gear. This book does not get nearly enough praise as it should for being so great for so long. With fantastic storytelling and a murderers row of great artist there is not much else you can ask for in a comic book! Read Full Review

Anyone planning to pick up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #62 should prepare for an emotional roller-coaster ride. Waltz takes the story he has crafted alongside Kevin Eastman and Bobby Curnow and molds it into a tightly paced and emotionally taxing issue. Add to it the great artwork by Dave Wachter and Ronda Pattison, and the result is another installment in the best ongoing superhero comic available being published today. This is without a doubt a must-buy. Read Full Review

The series may have slumped a bit over the past year, but it's showing every sign of recapturing its former energy again. Read Full Review

And despite my misgivings about Splinter's shift toward being a coldly efficient sociopath, I do like where it appears to be leading the narrative. I'm not ready to declare Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back on track yet, but the title appears to finally be rolling off its shell. Read Full Review

    Comic Bastards - Wilson Taylor

Is this particular issue bad? It's the same as the last thousand, little moves, character relationships are reinforced so if the last couple of issues were bad then you'd better damn well be sure that this issue's bad too. I would take any version of the turtles over this because every single version tried something new and untested, even the bad ones. Read Full Review

Whoa, Splinter is starting to authorize reckless moves, he's not acting like himself. Is the Rat King holding influence on him? I'm going to make that bet right now!

I've said it 10 times but Splinter is written in such a fun unpredictable manner in this universe and I love it. Casey's beatdown scene was dope.

as of late, so many sub-plots have been set up in this series ((a bit TOO many if you ask me)) that we haven't really been able to spend enough quality time with our main characters. . . . . . the Ninja Turtles were beginning to feel like guest stars in their OWN book. . . . this issue added the much needed 'PUNCH' back into the comic!!! . . . . . LITERALLY!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . the issue starts with something i've been wanting from the IDW Tmnt comic series since the VERY beginning . . . a total BAD-ASS F$%# S#%@ Up Casey Jones!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . if that weren't enough there was a TRULY excellent scene between Raphael and Michelangelo that really got to the heart of the characters, the reason for me even getting into more
