Mind-blowing action wrapped inside a compelling story with more human drama than most books that feature actual human characters have. Read Full Review

What about the art direction? I have seen the turtles look like many things; this iteration makes them look more like teenagers than any previous incarnation I've ever seen. Which is a good thing I think? They look how they act, immature; if they were more mature it would be called Adult Mutant Ninja Turtles, and so on and so forth. You get the point. With all that being said, I give this series a good rating, higher than my expectations! Read Full Review

TMNT Ongoing #68 is a great step in a new direction for the TMNT series. The turtles have their first big threat after cutting ties with Master Splinter and they are having to trust old enemies to help out some friends and save themselves. The writing team does a fantastic job of continuing to grow the turtles into new directions while continuing to tell amazing stories. Santolouco and Pattison continue to make a beautiful art team that are perfect for "big" story arcs like this. This is the second issue into TMNT new arc fighting Agent Bishop and the EPF, the Mutaniamals join the turtles in a fight for mutant kind! Read Full Review

Ninja wars and alien invasions are all well and good, but it's the consistently layered and ever evolving focus on what drives these characters that continues to make this series so investing. Read Full Review

We're left in several very interesting spots at the end of this issue. It's exciting! I'm a big fan of where things are going at the moment. I just hope Leo can step up. Read Full Review

Tactically, a stupid move by the turtles. I'm hoping this doesn't end up being too close to the first plot in TMNT Universe where the Turtles were boxed-in in a similar situation. I love an Old Hob team up, and this new villain is an opportunity to provide a worthy foe for a few issues.

the Ninja Turtles were pretty useless in this issue.
as sad as this is to say, but sometimes the Ninja Turtles are merely guest stars in their own comic book. and this issue is definitely one of those times.

Good...it's interesting enough to want the next issue but this is still kind of lacking any real twist or turn...still lacks something new...
