Comic Vine - Mat 'Inferiorego' Elfring Apr 25, 2012

Is this IDW's best book? Yes. Is it one of the most enjoyable on-going series in comics? Top 10 for me without a doubt. This series is awesome. The redesign of one of the TMNT characters was fantastic, and it made me extremely happy. This issue is also a great place for new readers to jump on since the first page really catches everyone up. There's tons of great action in this awesome story, and once again, the art is fantastic. Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp May 2, 2012

Honestly, the first page of April working out the story, and her reaction to them reintroducing themselves to her, is worth picking up all by itself. We also get plenty of heroes in a half-shell action. And, certainly not least important, issue #9 also finally gives us the first real shot of the Shredder, in all his ridiculous glory. Oh yeah, you know you want it. Worth a look. Read Full Review

I wish the art from Dan Duncan were a little stronger. When his stuff is on, it looks great, but it’s way too inconsistent. Often, the lines are so thin that the characters look undefined and Duncan’s proportions are sometimes way off. One arm is thicker than the other, a head seems too big for a body, that kind of thing. It’s not that Duncan’s art is bad; it’s just that a series as well done as this deserves top-notch pencils. Read Full Review

A bit thin on the plot, but still entertaining throughout as the cast finally comes together and executes their first official mission as a team. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Eric Biewenga Apr 28, 2012

This issue is the best of this story arc and just felt like the old turtles again. I call this one a must read and worth picking up even if you haven't read previous issues. The one disappointment here is the involvement of Mikey which was little to none. Read Full Review

    IGN - Joey Esposito Apr 25, 2012

The cliffhanger for this issue should have fans quite excited for what's to come, I just hope that the book can focus itself a bit and make good on its potential. Read Full Review
