Ujigami strikes again! The mysterious new villain has claimed another victim in their drive to make the city “safe” at any cost. While the Turtles still struggle to get any upper hand on their new adversary, Donatello has suspicions about their true identity that may mean a whole new set of problems for our half-shell heroes. Trying to get ahead, the Turtles set a trap using Ujigami’s likely next victim as bait: the leader of the Foot Clan, Karai!
Yang also does a fantastic job with the surprises and reveals to the story. Revealing a new puppet master of sorts that is a legit demon in the ear of Karai really allows the reader to start to see the bigger picture at hand. But the huge reveal on the final pages really brings the heart and soul to the story. There are so many ways for this story to go and all of them will surely keep the readers hooked and engaged. The Ninja Turtles are baffled about Ujaigami. They only know that he calls himself their ally. Their enemies are his enemies. With this knowledge the Turtles decipher that Ujigami is going to be targeting their rogues. The Turtles recruit help and split up to do the unthinkable protect their foes. The setting then shifts to the base of the Foot Clan. This is where our action picks up. A fight ensues but Ujaigami is not present yet. Once he (Ujaigami) does arrive to eliminate the Foot Clan; however, he accidently attacks Leonardo! For those of you who did read issue thirteen, you will understand why Ujaigami is hit with a rush of emotions and flees the Foot Clan compound. It is at the end of this issue that our Ninjas are back in their sewer reflecting on the events that just took place. While bandaging their wounds, and bickering as brothers do, a presence arrives in the sewer. A presence the Turtles have not truly felt in a long time.
