Overall:Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #5 is a kick ass epilogue and has the first arc ending with a bang. Our heroes are in for a rude awakening when they return and the cliffhanger this issue leaves us on brings about an audible gasp. this was like Wilson Fisk mixed with Penguin. While the turtles don't show up, this was still a nice "filler" issue
This issue just felt off with the recent continuity of Casey working with Karai and for the mayor to have predicted only Casey would start a revolt at the speech. I still like most of it and I’m sure Aaron will reveal what’s changed Karai’s motives and if somethings controlling her as foreshadowed with her glowing eye, but as of now this issue just felt like a step down from the previous issues.
