Sometimes it's easy to see a creative team's love for characters and concepts on the page, and 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Annual 2022' is one-hundred percent that type of issue from that type of creative team. It allows one to emotionally take a trip back to Turtle's adventures of old while never sacrificing the growth and developments they are currently going through within this wonderful IDW world. AIPT - David Brooke Mar 29, 2022

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Annual 2022 is very obviously a labor of love. Ba infuses every panel with good detail from the battle-damaged bandanas and bodies of these characters to the good and expressive action. Ba also mixes things up nicely using silhouettes of the Ninja Turtles in one scene as if they were the shadows themselves. Nearly every panel tells a story, which you can't say about most comics! Juni Ba is a great writer! this is the single best TMNT comic that IDW has put out in years!!! .... *YEARS!!!!*
it has done something that none of the past entries had been able to do, keep me entertained, as well as make me actually care about the 4 turtle brothers.

this is the level story-telling that the Ninja Turtles deserve.

just a pity that we won't see more of this.
