Big Man, by knee-capping a guy with a drywall hatchet, begins his bloody road of revenge as more clues to his mysterious motivations are revealed.
Maintaining the high standards of the first issue was a tough ask, but Powell and Wiesch have delivered a stunning hammer blow to the temple as a follow-up. If you like your revenge-fuelled crime stories brutal and uncompromising, look no further. Read Full Review
I almost feel like I'm cheating this series by having such a short review, but I don't want to tell you anything else about it. I mean I do. I want to tell you all about what Big Man does with that hammer. Oh man, do I ever. I want to tell you about what happens to him the next time he goes to use it. I want to tell you about every damn page of this comic, but more than anything I want you to read it and enjoy it for yourself. I want you to tell your friends and have them look at you like you're a crazy asshole and then read it for themselves and suddenly you start the "Holy Shit Book Club" and your first book is Big Man Plans" because gah! It's so fucking great. Give it a shot, if you don't like it then take a hammer to your head and read it again. Read Full Review

Big Man Plans may still have some work to be done, before it becomes a must have, but it's gripping character development, and intense action is definitely sending it there. This is also complemented by beautiful art, with Powell and Wiesch's vision captivating throughout. Read Full Review
My only complaint with issue #2 is that it can't measure up to the greatness that was the first issue. Issue #1 ofBig Man Plans had so much going on and was so shocking that issue #2 seems slow in comparison. We had a wonderful look into Big Man's past that was almost overflowing with violence that the second issue seems almost tame. I understand that Powell and Wiesch needed to pull back a bit to actually give us a story but after an issue like the first, I found myself wishing for more. Read Full Review
Hard core! Yet, at the same time, sincere.
Just blasted through the first two issues. Loved it!
I'm really liking this title but oh man is it brutal. I truly am looking forward to seeing how this all ends up. I'm guessing it will be even more twisted than we even expect.
