Fanlight Zone - Richard Coryell
May 27, 2026Corpse Knight #2 delivers some hauntingly beautiful art and some brutal action sequences. The story also packs quite a bit of heart, and this makes it relatable. There is a bit of confusion in this issue, along with some plot armor. These are minor nuisances but still worth keeping an eye on going forward with the series. This is a solid read and if you’re looking for an action-packed fantasy drama, look no further than Corpse Knight when you are at the shop this week. Read Full Review

May 26, 2026Corpse Knight #2 expands the scope of its dark fantasy world by leaning harder into supernatural horror and introducing a villain capable of matching its undead protector. Michael Chaves keeps the story moving with steady momentum and eerie encounters, while Matthew Roberts’ art does heavy lifting through atmosphere, creature design, and unsettling imagery. The issue still feels structurally simple, but the growing mythology and visual storytelling make this a compelling continuation with clear potential ahead. Read Full Review

I think about it very carefully before buying a new comic because you know, I don't want to spend my hard end money on the crap, but I took a chance with this one because I glanced through the pages and was wowed by the atmospheric art by Matthew Roberts. Michael Chaves tells this tale in a very cinematic way, I'm really loving it because I grow tired of comic book stories and art that I can't understand. This one is told and drawn in such a way that becomes an interesting read. The little girl is looking for Joan of Arc, will she find her with her dad.
