Benjamin Tiesma's art is awesome. The action in the conclusion of this issue is rendered beautifully and the build up in tension is conveyed brilliantly through the panels. Read Full Review

I think where the #1 falters for me is that there is so much innuendo about what happened that, as a new reader to the series, I don't understand the context and why everything is shrouded in shadows, and it's not as readily apparent that this is a follow up series from the get. Overall this was a fantastic read. I hadn't read a crime story since last year so it's refreshing to have a go after all this time and get this much quality. If you're a fan of crime comics then you're definitely picking this up for it is even better than the first iteration and I'm expecting it to maintain that standard. Read Full Review

Big Comic Page - Adam Brown Jun 25, 2020

If I were being overly critical, Id have to say that there might not be a specific hook or something decidedly new in this first issue. Sure, we have a strong, captivating, female lead which makes a pleasant change from the stereotypical grizzled male, and this looks more Appalachian than Western, but it feels like a traditional vengeance tale. There are some big plus points in the writing and visuals, and with scope to lead a blazing trail of bloody violence, let me get onboard! Read Full Review

The foundation's an interesting one despite its familiarity, and now we just have to wait and see if Dead Body Road: Bad Blood can differentiate itself enough to truly stand out. Read Full Review
