Farmhand strikes a great balance between horror and comedy, but this chapter leans a lot more heavily into the spooky side. It pulls back the curtain to show you just how far this kooky idea can go and it's some pretty crazy stuff. This issue wraps up the first arc and it does so with a bang. Guillory tells a good sci-fi/horror story about that age old notion of human hubris in a new and relevant setting, with its own kind of timely and relevant monster, populated with interesting and well-drawn (in all senses of the word) characters. With Issue 5s (and the first arcs conclusion), Guillorys saga is poised to go into overdrive and I cant wait to see where and how it goes. Read Full Review
Farmhand #5 is, like the rest of this first arc, a wildly fun comic. It covers deep thematic ground while never taking itself too seriously. Striking that balance requires skillful storytelling, and I cant wait to see where Guillory takes us in arc two. Read Full Review

A lot happens here. But a more seasoned storyteller could have really wrung some tension from all these developments.
