OH MY GOD! I didn't even notice it's Ottley already... WTF, he looks here exactly like the previous artist....
Mark's world comes crashing down around him. After the events of last issue, Mark is left wondering how he'll survive. You have front row seats as Mark comes face to face with the most deadly foe of his short-lived superhero career. It's all been leading up to this, and you do not want to miss this issue!
I really dont want to give too much away about this issues contents because its one of the defining moments of the series. This issue and issue 11 have really turned this series in a new direction. The art is good and the writing even better, as I have said before this series is the find of the year so far for me in the mainstream comics. Its funny, exciting and kinda scary (especially this issue) all in one. I cant remember when I have been so excited about reading the next issue. Buy the trades and start picking up the new issues as soon as you can, this is one to watch. Read Full Review
Funky lettering aside, this really is one of the best superhero comics out there. Superb stuff. Read Full Review
Think Mark.
Mark gets the ever-loving snot beaten out of him for an entire issue, and it is awesome. Powerful, emotional, bloody, brilliant.
Whole issue of Mark being a punching bag for his dad. I must admit, it was better in the show, but it's still great here. All in all, I'm surprised it got to this moment so fast already... I really loved how slow it was in the show, how Omni-Man had this detective stepping on his heels... But of course it's easier to remake a story, than to write a new one. This is still gorgeous enough for its time. I mean... wtf! It's 2004!!!! Yeah, not the worst era of comics, but it was the era of experiments and new styles in comic books. Not all of them were even remotely good, but Invincible is definitely now one of my favourite non-Marvel comics.

Great issue hampered by some cheap looking panels. Ottley hadn't perfected his style yet so there isn't a lot of definition in some of the bigger shots or the crumbling cities. Some colors feel flat lacking depth. Great story execution.
