    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Mar 30, 2017

World-building is one of Greg Rucka's particular strengths in his creator-owned comics. Rucka knows how to hook readers with a strong concept and compelling cast of characters without bogging down his story with too much extraneous information. The Old Guard is a testament to this. The Old Guard #2 has me hooked. Greg Rucka has created a compelling and gripping story, filled with interesting characters that all possess a unique past. The art is striking, dynamic and perfectly suited to this kind of story. There is depth here and I look forward to discovering more about Andy, her crew and the mystery behind their immortality. All-Comic - Jessica Petrecz Apr 1, 2017

The Old Guard #1 went into second and third reprinting, it was popular. The second issue certainly lives up the hype and delivers a nice follow-up issue to the well received premiere issue. Readers should be ready for a series well paced from Rucka, Fernandez and team that will deliver action and great story in equal measure. This issue proves that this story is going to set itself apart from other stories with the great investment we are already getting in character's and lore into the relics abilities. This book is highly recommended for any comic reader and also for those who may think comics are just for super heroes junkies, this can certainly change their mind. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Levi Remington Mar 29, 2017

Greg Rucka has done it again. Issue #2 of The Old Guard is " by design " less exhilarating than the first, but the lore and core-character expansion found within this briskly paced story keep it just as engaging. Fernandez's art with Miwa's colors continues to be an absolute delight, and Rucka has established an enthralling tone for this promising series. I'm thrilled to see where things pick up from here. With an art style that I like and a little more exposition and world building I like this issue a little more than the first. Beyond that I feel there is little going for this book that's actually pulling me back for more. Read Full Review
