Peter Cairn is still struggling with his new powers. Deemed a "Deviant" by the corporation that created him, he is on the run as they attempt to reclaim the power that they believe is theirs!
What I enjoyed about this second issue are the action sequences, and also the art. The art is beautiful, the reader can see all the details of what is going on in the comic panel. I also like how all the characters have different personalities, and the reader can understand why they are so different. Im really excited to see what happens in the next issue, and I hope Peter will be okay as he goes on. Read Full Review
Rat City #2 leans heavily into the classic tragedy of a man cursed to become a monster. Erica Schultz builds momentum to end the issue with a wow moment, and Z Carlos's art is excellent. If you're in the mood for an Elseworlds version of Spawn, this story is shaping up to be a recommended pick. Read Full Review
One major change from Rat City #1 to Rat City #2 involves the color art; this time Jay David Ramos handles sole coloring duties. That's fine in my book, given that his mix of bright neon and darker hues are the perfect fit for a futuristic setting.
