What I liked about the comic, is immediately the art style is different. Most of the comic is in black and white, unique from any indie comic book I have read. The art also is very detailed with some of the action sequences, without any writing. One of the downfalls of this comic is that it needs more story. Not just fractured pieces, that try in go in one direction. It needs more of a developed story that can tell the reader something. I honestly do not know where the story is going to end up at.

Aint No Grave (2024) #1

I love the comic panel coloring, each panel is detailed to each character. There are distinct features that the artist draws out, especially within the hair texture and also the shades of the characters skin tone. Im excited to see where Ryders journey ends up at, and hopefully she can continue on being the rough-and-tough woman that she is.

I really enjoy the art, it's really detailed with all of the graphic scenes. There is no holding back with how the killings are displayed. I also enjoy that the art has a specific reason for each panel. Each comic panel gives a backstory as to why each warrior looks and also feels the way they do.

This issue was good, again there were tons of flashbacks, going back in forth between the past and present. The colors again, are very nice and lots of great shading. Especially with the details in the art, for each different character. What makes this issue great, is that the stakes are continuing to be higher and higher. I become engrossed on Detective Strikman's journey of finding the truth.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man (2023) #21

Jun 12, 2024

Blade seems like a "big brother figure to Miles, and was teaching him the ways on how to defeat the vampires. Blade then says that Miles must understand the perspective, and bites him. I was so surprised about this, but I also understood as to why he did it. Miles seems to transform immediately, and now he really understands. I love that Blade shows up in this issue, it's refreshing to see other characters that want to help Miles.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man (2023) Annual #1

Aug 21, 2024

I really enjoyed that Miles is interested in learning about his roots. One of the main complaints Ive heard, is that Miles has no Spanish representation. This series seems to put Miless roots as the most important. I am excited to see what he finds out learning about his family. I am also intrigued to see his relationship with his parents, as soon as they arrive to Puerto Rico. As far as the art, it is wonderful to see Miless suit so detailed, and it looks great. As well as the art style in each panel, is unique in its own way.
