I enjoy the dialogue, between all of the characters. I like when the stakes are very high, and that the Wakanda nation might be in danger. I also enjoy seeing TChalla being a king, and really trying to protect his people, but also the outside world. He is always thinking about the entire world, and that is what makes him a great king. Ultimate Black Panther #6 closes out its first arc by setting the stage for war between Khonshu and Wakanda, while also exploring elements of faith. We're only halfway through the year, but all of the Ultimate Universe titles are off to a strong start, and I believe Hill and Stefano Caselli will take things to the next level in future issues. Major Spoilers - Jonathan Cadotte Jul 24, 2024

Ultimate Black Panther #6 marks the end of the first story arc of this series and it does so not so much with a big bombastic statement, but rather with a contemplative one that speaks to a much more interesting conflict than originally shown. Read Full Review

    ComicBook.com - Spencer Perry Jul 24, 2024

Ultimate Black Panther approaches the precipice of something really unique in its latest issue, having up to this point mostly been only marginally different from what we might expect from Earth-616's Black Panther rather than a radical reinvention. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez Jul 24, 2024

Ultimate Black Panther #6 is easily the worst issue in the series. Moon Knight's designs on Wakanda are escalating with extreme measures, but the story lacks basic motivations for the characters or urgency. People are doing things without direction and purpose, so all you have is a great-looking comic with stuff happening. Without the basics, all of it is meaningless. Read Full Review

    Plot
Khonshu is recruiting people using his powers to heal and create a cult out of nothing, he calls himself a god and many are following them, this cult threatens to rival Wakanda.

Black Panther finds out about this and with Shuri they begin to make a contingency plan. Shuri fears that T'challa likes Storm, as it endangers his reign. Storm and Killmonger are a couple, but Killmonger's ideas are somewhat radical.

Ra and Khonshu differ in the strategy of creating the cult, Ra fears that Konshu underestimates Black Panther, they only have a fragment of the anti-Vibranium, the complete meteorite is hidden in Wakanda, but T'challa himself does not know where it is.

I am worried that the wheels are falling off this one. I just dont see the point for a lot of it.

Like is this suppose to be the battle of faith vs science? But Wakanda also has superstitions and mysticism in it. Is it a warning against following false prophets? I only ask because the plot would indicate there is some sort of diametrically opposed ideologies going on here but to me all it looks like is a power hungry guy vs a paranoid guy trying to protect his land.

All in all I think the next arc should be more interesting with more action if a war actually does come but I am failing to see how this isnt a more standard story. Not very 'Ultimate' if you ask me.

So little happens in these issues. I’m beginning to feel like I’m spending a lot to get so little.

I must be reading a different book than everyone else. Bryan Hill seems to go down the same road with every book he writes. He begins strong and then he spins his wheels for a while before speeding to an unsatisfactory ending. We are on issue 6 already and not much has happened. The story has not progressed at all. I miss the days of "writing for the trades" where we can get an entire storyline in 6 issues, now it takes the entire run of the writer before a story can conclude. I'm not compelled enough to stick with this book. This is my final issue. It's a drop for me.
