The art is another addition, I love the attention to detail with all the hairstyles. Mostly, all of the characters either have beautiful locks, braids, which I love to see. All of the characters have their unique hairstyles, so people can quickly identify who each character is. Read Full Review

Ultimate Black Panther #7 continues to tread water with great art and one or two interesting clues about the new element, but ultimately, this series is going nowhere fast. Bryan Hill is either out of ideas, or he's been told to hold steady for the Maker's return. Regardless of the reason, this issue is a waste of time. Read Full Review

Plot Black Panther faces Moon Knight's warriors, who are mind-controlled Wakandans and attack mercilessly, but T'challa, with the help of Killmonger and Storm, manage to neutralize them without harming them. The war began and T'challa asks the Vodu-Khan for help to explain what this substance is that Ra and Konshu have in their possession, Imala makes him understand that Vibranium is a living being, that this element can be its opposite. T'challa thinks that anti-vibranium is perfect for terraforming the planet and that Monn Knight's plan is to create a new kingdom out of nothing. Black Panther sends Okoye, Killmonger and Strom to find a magical being who can explain what is happening. This story continues to feed this reimagining more

With this issue the series seems to have started spinning its wheels slightly. Not going to knock it too much, it's still very interesting and well written and well drawn, but a little too much of this issue was T'Challa whining about having to fight Wakandans and not wanting to hurt them while his enemy has no such standards. Welcome to superhero life buddy. Still, really good issue and I'm loving Storm here. I expect #8 will be much better and more action packed, looking forward to it.

A solid improvement over the last issue. Mainly because Caselli is back on the art, and I found this to be written a bit better than last time. As DerbyComics mentioned in their review, though, this doesn't really feel like the start of a new arc. Rather, it feels like another issue of the opening one. That's not a bad thing, but this was also advertised as a new arc, if I remember correctly.

Ultimate Black Panther continues to be the most decompressed entry of the new Ultimate Universe. While other titles haven't had plot movement at breakneck speeds, they've managed to build their initial setup and introduce new concepts to flesh out their respective corners of this new world. That hasn't been the case here. Issue #7 is billed as the start of a new arc but they could have fooled me as these first seven issues have felt like one drawn out setup story. It's been Black Panther vs Ra & Khonshu since the beginning with little payoff in between. Even the introduction of Killmonger and Storm failed to inject life into the story. Even the artwork fell flat for me this issue mostly due to Stefano Caselli not having much to work more

Many have used the term 'treading water' and I think that is apt. This series is meandering and I am getting quite board. I think I am going to read till the end of this ark and if it doesnt pick up, drop it. I dont know how people can be enamoured by this. It has no energy.
